Julian Venables is a renowned and accomplished astrologer. He has recently returned to Brighton and Hove, England after spending the first six months of 2008 living in Australia. Having published several articles for magazines and journals he is now working on a historical novel, lecturing and writing interpretative content for the software company Esoteric Technologies, the creators of Solar Fire.
An entertaining and knowledgeable speaker, he has appeared regularly on BBC Radio and delivered lectures at major conferences. A client-based astrologer, he offers group and individual mentoring/classes, and has clients from across the globe. He is one of the consulting astrologers on the international telephone service 'Astrolivelink'.Julian discovered astrology in 1989 but it wasn't until 2002 that he began his professional studies, earning the prestigious certificate from the Faculty of Astrological Studies based in London. He also studied extensively at Brasenose College at Oxford University,being lectured by the world’s most eminent astrologers (including Rob Hand, Liz Greene and Richard Tarnas).
He completed his Diploma studies and exams in 2008. ![]() He was a former committee member of the Astrology Lodge of London, where he still helps to organise an set up meetings. In 2005 he began teaching astrology to groups, at the Evolution holistic arts centre in Brighton and Hove and also at the Rainbow Circle Astrology camp, alongside Jonathan Cainer. In May 2007 Julian gave two lectures at the Theosophy society in London on the Persian royal stars Regulus and Antares.
![]() In January 2008 he was invited to the FAA (Federation of Australian Astrologers) conference in Sydney where he presented two lectures on Fixed Stars.
He also contributed 6 months of horoscopes to the 'New Woman Astrodiary 2008' published in Australia and New Zealand by ACP magazines.
