Astrology is the ancient science that will provide all the answers to questions such as these, and it is my personal mission to bring the knowledge of astrology to as many people as I can, so if you found this site, you were meant to! I discovered astrology in 1988 when I lived with some astrologers who drew up my chart and interpreted it for me. At that time I was at a crossroads in terms of my life’s direction (21 years old) and astrology seemed to provide some accurate pointers and a new direction. Over the next ten years I read books and would talk with many friends about astrological theories and charts; we named these sessions ‘astrobabbling’, and this helped me to develop an intuitive way of understanding astrology.

So how does it all work? Firstly there are ten major planets in our solar system, each of which has a specific influence or dynamic effect on the formation of the self (refer to the section ‘the planets’). These planetary influences are filtered or coloured by the Zodiac signs in which they are placed (refer to the section ‘The Signs’). Interested in understanding the energies of the 12 zodiac signs? Have a look at the descriptions of each one. See how they apply to yourself and try them out on your friends.

The moment we are born and become an individual, we take our first breath; this creates the “birth chart” and sets the angles and planetary placements from which we will then have a unique experience of life. This planetary “blueprint of the soul” is what we must then study in order to understand and have insights into ourselves at all levels of consciousness. As we progress in life by becoming familiar with and using our charts we can predict forthcoming events and times of crises or elevation (these techniques are known as transits and secondary progressions).
